“Those school days are gone, but in my mind they still live on and on,
But how do we thank someone whom we are so grateful, who is like a friend who taught us right from wrong, and weak from strong.”
When we met up for a chat with Sim Kay Siong, an old boy from Kuching High School, the song “To Sir with Love” suddenly crossed our mind as we listened to his very touching sharing of his school days and how he expressed his love for his former school.
“I am very grateful to
“Without Kuching High, I would not have been what I am today.”
What can I give in return? Let me give my heart and love to my Alma Mater when the school is in need; “quoted Sim..

Sim Kay Siong was in Kuching last weekend to hand over a cheque of RM20,000 to his schoolmates, Lim Chee Liap and Bebe Lau both graduated in the year year 1990 for donation to the school rebuilding fund.
The three old boys of year 1990 invite all their fellow school mates of year 1990 to contact them to establish contacts among their network of schoolmates to plan for a get-together in the near future.
At the same time they are calling their former school mates to join them in this noble act to help their school.
Meanwhile, The Kuching High Rebuilding Committee thanked Sim for his exemplary model that many others could emulate. A famous Chinese quote literary reads as “When one drinks water, thinks of its source”; meaning not to forget those who make the present possible.
The Kuching High Rebuilding committee urges more ex-highians to come forward to help raise the shortfall of 2.1 million for phase 2 of the project. Phase 1 of the project comprising the Junior Science Block and Classroom Block will commence work within this month.
